Question 1

How does Laundry Picked Up work?

Accepted Answer

Schedule a pickup on our website. Leave your laundry bag at your door. We pick it up, wash and fold everything, and deliver it back clean — usually within 24 hours. You don't need to be home.

Question 2

How much does wash and fold cost?

Accepted Answer

Wash and fold starts at $2.25 per pound for recurring pickup customers and $2.50 per pound for pay-as-you-go. Minimum order is $29.99 which covers the first 12 pounds. Pickup and delivery are always free with no hidden fees.

Question 3

Is my laundry washed separately?

Accepted Answer

Always. Your laundry is never combined with anyone else's. We separate your lights and darks, check pockets for loose items, and wash each customer's load individually.

Question 4

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve Alexandria, Springfield, Annandale, Falls Church, Arlington (south), and surrounding Northern Virginia communities. This includes neighborhoods like Old Town, Del Ray, Kingstowne, Crystal City, Pentagon City, and more.

Question 5

Do I need to be home for pickup and delivery?

Accepted Answer

No. Leave your laundry bag at your door, porch, or with your building concierge. We'll pick it up and return your clean, folded laundry to the same spot. You'll get a notification when it's done.

Question 6

How long until I get my laundry back?

Accepted Answer

Standard turnaround is 24 hours. Same-day service may be available depending on pickup time and location.

Question 7

Can I choose my detergent and settings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can specify regular, hypoallergenic, or eco-friendly detergent; water temperature; fabric softener preference; and dryer heat settings.

Question 8

Do you wash bedding and comforters?

Accepted Answer

We focus on everyday wash and fold — regular clothing, towels, sheets, and similar items. Oversized bedding items like king comforters may be priced per piece.

Question 9

What if something is damaged?

Accepted Answer

We treat your clothes with care and follow your instructions. If anything is damaged during our process, we make it right — guaranteed.

Question 10

Can I set up a weekly pickup schedule?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set up recurring weekly or bi-weekly pickups and we'll automatically pick up and deliver on your chosen day. Recurring pickup plans save you money per pound.

Question 11

Is this better than going to the laundromat?

Accepted Answer

We think so. No driving, no waiting, no folding. We pick up from your door, wash your clothes separately (not in shared machines), fold everything neatly, and deliver it back. You save 2-3 hours per week.

Question 12

Do you serve apartment buildings and condos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We serve houses, apartments, condos, and townhomes. For apartment buildings, you can leave your bag with the concierge or at your door.
